About this attraction

Carolina Cyclone is a steel roller coaster at Carowinds, first opened in 1980, with four inversions including two vertical loops. It has a lift hill and ends with an uphill helix that returns riders to the station. Riders pass over the midway and, at some points, the ground below can walk under the last inversions.
