How to recognise it
It identifies itself with this User-Agent. The product token for matching in robots.txt is ParkonautBot:
ParkonautBot/1.0 (+https://parkonaut.app/bot)How it behaves
- Before it fetches anything from a host, it loads
/robots.txtand applies it as specified in RFC 9309: its own group, otherwise*, includingCrawl-delay. Ifrobots.txtis unreachable (network error or5xx), it fetches nothing from that host. - It honours reservations against text and data mining and against AI use: the TDM Reservation Protocol (
tdm-reservationas HTTP header, as meta tag or in/.well-known/tdmrep.json) andnoaiin theX-Robots-Tagheader or therobotsmeta tag. A page with such a reservation is not used. - If a website offers an interface for automated access, it uses that interface and follows its rules.
- It only sends
GETrequests. It does not submit forms or log in. - It reads structured data embedded in pages: schema.org markup as JSON-LD (
application/ld+json) and Microdata. - It paces its requests per host and pauses between requests to the same website, longer if
Crawl-delayasks for it. - Where it re-reads a source, it uses conditional requests (
If-None-Match,If-Modified-Since) so unchanged content is not downloaded again. - If a website answers
429or503, it waits and retries a few times, then gives up. It honoursRetry-After(up to five minutes).
We show the facts it finds together with their source.
