About the park
Savin Rock was a seaside amusement park in West Haven, Connecticut, whose origins date to the 1870s. It grew out of a beachside resort and became known for its roller coasters, carousels, funhouses and other rides along a midway. The park was closed in 1966 after losing popularity and falling into disrepair.
